Practice
I am committed to seeing potential and value in all people from a collaborative and strengths-based approach. I am an LGBTQIA ally passionate about treating complex trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety and relationship / family conflict. I accept individual/couple clients ages 18 and older and families with children at least 10 years of age. I accept BCBS, United Commercial and Aetna Commercial, along with all state insurances.
I have been working with my own dog, Brynne, to train her to join me in the office. I never thought of myself as a true dog person, but I can no longer deny it. She offers a great sense of calm and unconditional love that I am excited to share in my work with you. She is generally calm and appreciates snuggles and scratches behind the ears or belly rubs.
Brynne was adopted into my family in February 2024 from the Lucky Dog Program that partners Hutchinson Corrections Inmates with dogs. She was well-loved behind bars before coming to live at my house. Brynne has earned her Canine Good Citizen from the American Kennel Club and she and I will continue to be in training with a professional dog trainer to ensure she offers quality care.
Animal Assisted Psychotherapy is known to reduced anxiety, improve social skills, and aid in emotional regulation. She can participate as much or as little are you are comfortable.
Focus
My focus is to help individuals, couples and families heal, energize, and become aware of their strengths to achieve their personal mental health goals. I see my role as coming alongside my clients to draw out the resources that might be hidden from trauma, shame or difficult circumstances like grief and loss. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities in traditional talk therapy and am trained in EMDR, Sandtray and Gottman Level 2.

Promise
My non-judgmental, accepting approach creates a welcoming and safe place where you can explore and work toward your personal mental health goals. I will allow you to teach me about the things that are most important to you and that is where we will begin. If I am not the right therapist for you, I will offer referrals to make sure you receive the treatment that is best for you.
